Privacy notice

Who we are

Huck is provided by Uniek Ltd. This notice explains how the Huck app and gethuck.com handle information. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@gethuck.com.

App information and purchases

Huck uses a pseudonymous app identifier to connect purchase access, paywall activity and product analytics across the app and paired devices. This identifier is not your name, but information attached to it is not treated as anonymous.

Our service providers can receive app and device identifiers, app version and device information, interactions with screens and features, purchase and subscription status, and optional feedback you choose to provide. Analytics services can also infer an approximate location from your network address. We use this information to operate purchases, understand app reliability and usage, and improve Huck. Avoid including sensitive information in optional feedback.

Apple processes payments. Huck does not receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat supports subscription access and purchase reconciliation; Superwall presents purchase options. Purchase records are different from payment-card details and can be linked to your pseudonymous app identifier. In version 26.38, game-credit purchase and usage records also support your balance and its iCloud synchronization.

Your games and Health data

Workout recording is optional and requires permission through Apple Health. Huck can use workout duration, distance, active energy and heart rate to show your game and workout results. Information can transfer between your own paired Apple Watch and iPhone; it is not accurate to say it never leaves one physical device.

Version 26.38 keeps exact Health metrics and Health-derived telemetry out of Huck's analytics, purchase, paywall and push providers. Game summaries are stored locally in protected app storage excluded from device backup. The game-credit ledger is separate from those Health-containing summaries and can synchronize through iCloud. These storage safeguards describe version 26.38; older installed versions can behave differently.

You can change Health permissions in Apple's settings, turn workout recording off in Huck, and delete saved games in the app. If you choose to share a result, the information in the shared result goes to the destination you choose. Do not send us Health information in support requests unless you intend to share it.

Providers we use

These providers process information for their respective services. Their processing can take place outside your country, including outside the UK or EEA. Contact us for information about applicable processing arrangements and safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

Messages and your choices

If you submit a website or support form, we receive the contact details and message you enter. We use them to respond to your request. Email updates are optional; you can unsubscribe using the link in an email.

In version 26.38, marketing push updates require a separate Huck preference, which defaults to off. Granting Apple's notification permission alone does not opt you into marketing. You can turn marketing updates off in Huck Settings and manage all notification permission in Apple's settings. Essential purchase reconciliation does not depend on marketing permission.

To request access, correction or deletion, or to object to product analytics, email privacy@gethuck.com. Some records may still be needed to honour purchases or meet legal obligations. A deletion request is not the same as cancelling an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple Account.

How long information is kept

Different information has different purposes; there is no blanket six-year retention period for all Huck data.

Contact us for the retention arrangements applying to your information or to request deletion.

Security and your rights

We limit the information the app sends to each service and use platform security and access controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in website forms or feedback.

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact privacy@gethuck.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.

Changes

We update this notice when Huck's data practices change. The date above identifies this version; app-version-specific safeguards are labelled so that they are not confused with older installed releases.
